Women’s Rights
Our Vision
Women’s rights are fundamental human rights. True freedom means having control over your own body, equal protection under the law, ending violence against women, and a real voice in our democracy. We will defend women’s autonomy, protect access to the ballot, and stand up to right wing political efforts that roll back hard‑won rights.
Protecting Reproductive Freedom
Defend and restore the constitutional right to abortion nationwide.
Guarantee access to safe, legal abortion and reproductive healthcare—without political interference.
Protect the right to contraception, IVF, miscarriage care, and maternal healthcare.
Oppose national abortion bans and state laws that criminalize doctors or patients.
Provide Paid Family and Medical Leave for new parents nationwide.
Healthcare Decisions Belong to Patients—not Politicians
Trust women and their doctors to make personal medical decisions.
Reject government mandates that force pregnancy, deny care, or put lives at risk.
Protect privacy and bodily autonomy from extremist legislation.
Defending Women’s Voting Rights
Fight Republican voter suppression laws that disproportionately target women, especially women of color, students, seniors, and working mothers.
Protect access to early voting, vote‑by‑mail, same‑day registration, and ballot drop boxes.
Oppose voter ID schemes, poll closures, and purges designed to silence women’s voices.
Ending Violence Against Women
1 in 4 women aged in the US have been the victim of severe physical violence from a partner at some point in their life. Over 1 in 3 women have experienced rape, physical violence, and/or stalking from a partner in their lifetime. 4 in 5 victims of intimate partner violence have been women.
Women of color and indigenous women in particular face disproportionate levels of violence and sexual abuse. 1 in 4 black girls are sexually assaulted before the age of 18. Half of Indigenous women have faced sexual violence, and 80% of Indigenous women have experienced violence.
We must pass laws that protect women from violence before it happens, and get justice for current victims. Too many women are told that there is nothing that the police can do until it is too late. This must change, with sweeping law changes across the country.
Democratic Values We Stand For
Reproductive freedom as a fundamental right.
Equal protection under the law.
A democracy where every eligible voter can vote freely and safely.
Government that expands rights—not takes them away.
Our Commitment
Women should not have to fight the same battles every generation. We will protect reproductive freedom, defend the right to vote, and ensure that women—not politicians—decide their futures.
